Controlling Flatulence is basically a matter of watching how we eat and what we eat. Eat slowly and chew food longer. The more that food is chewed the more it is broken down for the digestive system.

Symptoms of flatulence are abdominal bloating and pain, belching and flatulence (passing rectal gas). One of the most common cause of gas if when air enters the stomach you may expel it though belching. You can take in air when you eat or drink to fast. Drinking through a straw, drinking carbonated beverages, chewing gum, wearing false teeth or swallowing air from nervous habit.
If you eat high fiber foods such as beans, vegetables, fruit or grains, the partially digested cell walls of these foods will pass into your intestines, where the bacteria begins a fermentation process that produces gas. If you are lactose intolerant you do not produce enough lactase, a digestive enzyme that breaks down milk sugars and you are more likely to produce gas after eating dairy products. A gastrointestinal infection may also produce intestinal gas.
