Grapefruit Seed Extract - Non Toxic Cleaner

Grapefruit seed extract is a great nontoxic spray or wash for the cleaning of all pet areas, cages and bedding, etc. to provide a germ free environment. It can be mixed by the quart or gallon size if necessary and sprayed onto large areas with any type spraying device. There is no need to rinse it off as grapefruit seed extract is biodegradable and nontoxic. Grapefruit seed extract is also very economical at 10-15 drops per gallon.

Pet Internal Uses

Internal Use: For pets and animals. Disorders from parasites or fungi, etc: Put into the food, mix with canned or mix with water as a gravy for dried food. Also See: Weight and dose chart for doses. If animal is no longer eating try putting it in their water. If pet refuses to drink, start off with less GSE and/or eliminate all other water sources (can be added to milk). Use (1) drop grapefruit seed extract per 10 pounds (5 kg.) of body weight. In acute cases doses can be increased as needed.

Animal Drinking Water: This is for all animals, no matter where they live, neighborhoods, farms, zoo or even the circus. It will keep them vigorous. Also See: Weight and dose chart. Add dose to drinking water. If bitterness discourages drinking add a little more water until they will drink. This will also reduce the loss of livestock from infectious diseases.

Arthritis: Refer to weight and dose chart for dosage recommendations according to the size of pet. Use dose mixed in 1-cup water, 3 times daily between meals. If grapefruit seed extract is relevant to the condition improvement is likely to occur in 4-8 weeks. It is also helpful to use probiotic cultures (ask your vet) with meals as part of of the protocol to reduce the risk of recontamination with the offending germ. When improvement is noted continue to use grapefruit seed extract at 1/2 the recommended dose for several more weeks to reduce the risk of recurrence.

Bad Breath: Mix (?) drops grapefruit seed extract in 1 cup water and spray into the animals mouth, 2 times daily. After a few days the improvement is dramatic. Allowing the pet to drink water will help considerably.

Diarrhea, Bladder Infection and Incontinence: It is often caused by spoiled food, non-food items, worms, parasites etc. Put the animal on a short 24-hour liquid diet with vegetable juice or broth and lots of water. Mix grapefruit seed extract drops according to the weight and dose chart with 1-cup liquid. Repeat in 2-3 hours. Follow up with maintenance program.

Constipation: See: Weight and dose chart for dosage. Mix grapefruit seed extract and a little garlic powder with 1 Tbls. olive oil. Add to pets food. Exercise the animal more often. Let it outside more often for relief. Add more greens and vegetables to the diet. Decrease canned food. Follow up with maintenance program.

Fungal Disease of the Mouth and Stomatitis: Mix (?) drops grapefruit seed extract in 1 qt of water and spray directly into the mouth 2-3 times daily. Put pet on maintenance doses.

Maintenance: Can be given as a preventative dose on a regular basis. The dose should be about half as much as for the treatment of the disease or condition you were treating according to the weight and dose chart. This can be used if your pet has not been sick but you but you just want to use as a preventative dose.

Parasites and Worms: See: Weight and dose chart add recommended dose to 1-cup drinking water every day for a week. Repeat after 2 weeks and again after 4 weeks. After this you can then use the maintenance program to keep the pet in good health. Read more about parasites.
